Strange buzzing behavior
Hello Guys,
im new to acoustic guitars but have some experience with classicals and other instruments. I bought an acoustic guitar in good condition. Like new, no belly bulge (or just the right amount). No wear on the frets. Old strings on it, but that shouldnt cause buzzing? I have some buzzing at frets 8-10. The action is not very low (about 3,1mm) and the fretboard has a little bit more forward bow that it should have. I find it a little bit strange, that the buzzing is at the middle frets and not at the top frets. Shouldnt the buzzing normaly occur at the top frets when i have too much "forward bow"? Im thinking about adjusting the truss rod, to reduce the forward bow and lower the action a little bit. But im concerned if that would even make the buzzing worse? |
