Of course you can transpose the song to another key, but ideally it would be to learn how to make this F chord which is a major chord and which you will find in several songs.

I was thinking the same thing. If you transpose to be able to sing that’s one thing but transposing so you can avoid playing an F chord is likely detrimental to your advancement as a player. An F chord is something you need to be able to play.
Try one minute chord changes. Set a one minute timer and change from the chord before the F to the F and back again until the minute has passed.
Do this as slowly as you need to to play the chord cleanly and speed up as you become proficient at the change. Count how many times you play that F chord in one minute.
You’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll advance and it’s very rewarding to chart your progress.
In a short time you can look back at this post and smile because the F chord will no longer be a problem.

Always quite a bit of nuance in Neil Young’s “easy” songs. When I first started playing, this was one song I tried to play. Now, 9 year later, I am finally playing and singing this well.

Little Martha in Open D tuning, one of my long time favorite pieces. I play it in standard tuning also, but it seems it was written in open tuning, locally called Slack Key.
As Breweryrat suggests below, Open E is more accurate. I prefer the more relaxed feel of Open D.
I love this bit of trivia about the song... As far as a I know, it's the only songwriting credit for Duane Allman, one of the most fiery, intense electric players. Yet it's a sweet acoustic song!

For the record this is not me, but it is Andy, the Silly Mustache.

Lately I've been working on Signe by Eric Clapton and Fragile by Sting. Just started Fleetwood Mac's Never Going Back Again.

I just finished learning Little Martha but in open E tuning. I can see why Leo Kottke called it the perfect song. Its a fun one to play.

Also working on Hesitation Blues right now.

Trying to get Wonderful Tonight memorized by my hands since I intend to play it on my wife’s birthday in a few weeks. The picking pattern using 8ths is not that hard now but singing at the same time causes intermittent brain freeze. Let’s see how it turns out

Also working on Wild wood by Paul Weller - cool rhythms! Both songs taken from Justin Sandercoes songbooks and following his way of playing them
