Around 1970 I got The Flying Burrito Brothers' Burrito Deluxe album. On first listen one song really stood out. I checked the album cover and saw it was "Wild Horses" written by Jagger/Richards. I went through every Stones album trying to find it wondering how I could have missed a Stones song this great. Then it came out about a year later on Sticky Fingers. The Stones version is great, of course, but hearing the Burritos version first embedded that version in my mind for a long time.

Me too. Until maybe 10 years ago I thought Bernie Leadon wrote the thing...

Right. Except Bernie wasn't hanging out with Keef and the chaps in France in 1969. Gram was.
