amplification for a dobro
is there a temporary pickup to put on a dobro to get sound amplification? I jam with a dobro player in a park and would like to hear him better. I didn't want to alter his instrument, just add a pickup that I could temporarily put on his dobro and connect to a portable amp

I used to work with a guy who had an old Barcus Berry junior on the resonator, it sounded like a Dobro.
If you have an XLR input available and AKG c411 might be worth considering but mine need a phantom power supply which might not be available. Also - AudioTechnica pro 70 is a lavalier-type mic with a guitar clip and a battery powered belt-box (XLR out) which might be better than a normal lavalier. Also - a normal lavalier.

Lace makes pickups for reso/dobro. So does K&K.

Dazzo pickups work very well for all acoustic instruments and percussion. Give Teddy a call. Number is on his Dazzo website.
