Absolutely gorgeous!

And you are so right ... very much looking like a guitar now! You are going to have some fun with this one.

Thanks again for sharing with us.

Oh man oh man, this is coming together so nicely!! My favorite night of the week as I can share this beautiful progression. Those bindings and abalone purfling are the result of Febo Waanders' endless patience these past days. It's very subtle in real life, just 1mm but gorgeous

Please tell me what you guys think!

Very nice bindings!!!

When i see adornments like abalone purfling, i somethimes think it is too much (for me). But in this case i think you are right ... subtle but eye catching.

this is really a beautiful work of art. i have enjoyed following the build thread and thought process, both of which are very high quality.

Thanks Joost for sharing!

I think you're going to like this update! This is the last update before we can start the finishing process. After these pictures it is time for grain filler and a lot of thin coats of Nitro after which starts the patient waiting for the drying process (which takes weeks unfortunately ). Just let me know what you guys think. I really love the sound ports with the ridge and scooping making it look like some fancy sports car side vent or something

Default Yesssssss

Great way to start your weekend! The fretboard has been glued, the edges have been radiused, the guitar is finish sanded and tonight the grain filler will be applied. How amazing to see this guitar almost done! Tomorrow, lacquering! Please tell me what you think!

Joost.... Love the sound and tone of the music on your builders website. Don't know how the crossover will sound but from what I hear the builder sure knows what he is doing. Your build is a gorgeous looking guitar. I was in Kevin Ryan's shop a couple of days ago and everytime I go there I think about the build you did with him. This build is just as memorable. Blessings and hope your body gets a chance to recover using this guitar and you can get back to enjoying both a crossover and steel strings when you want.

Like everything about it. It'll be a shame if someone doesn't steal the headstock design Usually not a fan of abalone.... I'd rather see wood I suppose, but it's really tasteful and understated the way you've used it. I'm just waiting to hear it now!

I would except words cannot really express how impressive this is; I've not seen many build threads as good as this (perhaps Gil Yaron's LP and Strat threads over at TDPRI...you'll know what I mean).

I'm really looking forward to what you think of it. Have you played many v. high end (i.e. sole luthier) classicals previously - I'm thinking Bert Kwakkel for where you are.

cheers,
Steve

Thanks Dennis! I hope I will someday get to that point again.

Thanks Steve!
