Default Harvest Moon cover -take 2

https://vimeo.com/520450231

Great classic tune by Neil Young, Harvest Moon.

A few weeks ago I posted a cover of this song, only to take it down a few days later. I wasn’t happy with the way it sounded...tha audio quality was bad.

So, yesterday I did a re-do of the song. Hopefully this one is a little better.

Hope it’s worth a listen. Thanks.

Nice job Roger!

The character of the song shines right through! I thought the last one was fine; this is good, too!

Hope all is well for you!

What a pretty version of this great song. You captured the vibe with both your singing and playing. Makes me want to learn it.

Thanks Glenn and started with 1. The song is pretty easy to play once you decide to learn the riff.

I don’t do an exact carbon copy. As with most songs I play, I only strive to capture the spirit of the thing rather than copy every note and nuance. Probably a limitation of my talent, but it takes me too long to learn note for note and I get antsy and want to move on. I admire those who can nail it precisely, however.

As forum member Sal once said, “I learn it close enough and then have a beer.” That philosophy works fine for me. 🤣🤣

Beautiful! Really nice voice, and playing. Thanks for posting take 2, I missed the first one.
