"River" by Al Petteway
Haven't really posted much music lately as I've been sitting on a heap of about 10 new tunes that need to be recorded, and would rather be practicing photography in spare time these days than posting video snippets of said new material...but(!) here's a take of one of my favorite tunes in the solo-guitar world, instead. "River" from Al Petteway. Al is a personal favorite guitarist of mine because his tone and sense of melody are consistently killer in all his songs. He's a great guy, too. Very knowledgable and down-to-earth.
Guitar is handmade by Rebecca Urlacher from Bend, OR. Amazing guitar that has to be experienced in person to really appreciate the nuances...Cedar over super old Indian rosewood. I have to say, your approach and touch on this guitar tells how much you enjoyed playing it. The song just sounded so natural to you and your style. Nicely done.
