Whiskey In The Jar, Thats a great old Irish Tune. Do you do it traditional or like the Thin Lizzy version?

I haven't heard the Thin Lizzy version... I have heard the Metallica version. It's fun to hear such radically different treatments, but I play more traditional style.

The Thin Lizzy version of Whiskey in the Jar is great. Thin Lizzy was/is a great band.

Not counting my own originals ("Because We Can," "Canadian For a Day," "Caffeine,""Safe Home" and "My Dad's Harmonica" seem to strike visceral emotions):
'52 Vincent Black Lightning (on dulcimer)
Diamonds & Rust

and with my singing partner Steve:

The Dutchman (when we're not doing it as "The Conman," which either has people rolling on the floor or furious that we'd dare parody such a beloved song)
These Cowboys
You Never Even Call Me By My Name (seems EVERYONE knows the chorus and loves to sing along)

Usually whatever one closes my set... could be why I usually accompany other people.
