Default Cross Over - new recording with Zoom H4

This is a "naked" recording - no effects at all, not even EQ. I think the recording quality came out pretty good. I used the highest gain setting, with two external mics xy'd about 18" from the guitar. I got a new suede guitar strap (Levi's) so there is no strap-creak. I actually worked on this one about an hour in total. I think I may add a third section to break it up abit. Anyway its an initial idea that may develop or go cold.

Cross Over

Very nice playing and great recording quality. Just curious, what type of external mics did you use? (Or did you use the built in stereo pair?).

Thanks Taylorgyrl. I used a Sterling ST-31 and a MXL 991.

Barry have you made any recordings with the built in mics? What do you think of them?

They aren't bad at all. There are three (I think) different mic simulators also, but I haven't really played around with that much. If it wasn't so noisy here I'd do a demo for you. I know Bern and LJGuitar have done some demos, maybe if you scroll down a couple of pages here you'll find the Zoom demos they did.
