I certainly wasn't expecting this! Now you're just going to make me check the forum even more incessantly, well played Josh

That's interesting, I've never seen a Pernambuco bridge plate before. Any reason why Joel decided to go with that? And the bracing is on! Still hasn't hit me yet that I am going to have Michaud #2 in my hands in just slightly over a couple months!!

That Moon Spruce top looks really clean and uniformly tight, I'm loving it!

Marcus, I'm kind of digging this tag team builds we have going here, lots to see.

Your back and sides will look great under finish (mustn't forget the top either, can't wait to see the full view with rosette). This is what I had envisioned when I originally started looking at woods for my build. Nice dark, straight grained wood, funny how things work out ... lol ... enjoy

Default Oohhhh Mmaaarrrcccuuusss....

There are some aspects to this guitar that are going to knock you out. It's going to have some new design elements and a few other Michaud surprises. I've never seen anyone handle the upper bout like Joel...truly cool. No voicing has been done yet.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! People tend to find Pernambuco ugly but I think it's not all that bad

It's inside the box on the side you can't easily see, so if it bothers someone esthetically I think they have other issues

Marcus, glad to see this moving along, now Joel can get to my build ... lol

With the bit of shellac now on the inside, you really can get a feel for what the back and sides will look like under finish. Looking good bro!
