Default 1929 Martin converted 2-18 - PLEASE CLOSE

CF Martin confirms that this guitar, #38815, was started on 6.11.1929 and left Nazareth as a 2-18T - 4 string tenor.

It was subsequently converted to a 6-string with a solid peg head, 14 fret neck and oversized - 6.5" - bridge.

I acquired this gem of Martin history from
Intermountain Guitar & Banjo 5 years ago.

Regardless of how this 90 year old started life the playability, tonal response, projection & balance are stunning.

Red Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides,
Brazilian board, bridge, head plate, end wedge & binding. Ivory 1-7/8" nut & saddle - 2-1/4" spacing.
Short scale. Waverly 4065 tuners.

Decades old professional replacement of a section of the rim
near the end pin.

Newer HSC.

Lovely. Would you please describe the tone and volume (a sound clip of a 90 year old gem would be great). Also, describe the saddle to neck angle, string height and fret condition - please.

I do not have a sound clip, Steve. Action at the 12th fret is 3/32" - Low E, 2/32" - High E.

Does the headstock crack go all the way through the tuner mounting holes. It appears to be inline with them. Is the crack stable.
