Apollonio Custom Built 12 String Guitar - FINAL PRICE REDUCTION
Custom built Jumbo 12 String Guitar. Built by the master himself, Nikos Apollonio.Nik has been building 12 string guitars for over 50 years and has built guitars for Gordon Bok and Noel Paul Stookey just to name a few. The guitar was custom built in 2012. It has a cedar top, KOA back and sides, mahogany neck and a “Friendship Sloop” custom inlay on the headstock. It also has upgraded gold tuning pegs, an upgraded gloss finish and a K&K pickup which was installed by Nik during the building process. Included is a TKL hard shell case. The guitar has an incredible booming sound with a resounding bass. The reason I am selling is that I had shoulder surgery and since then the jumbo size is difficult for me to deal with. Otherwise this guitar would be going nowhere. It has been kept in it’s case in a humidified environment. It is in excellent condition except for a few minor scratches around the bridge that were incurred while changing strings. These scratches in no way compromise the playing or the structure of the guitar. I tried to show them in the pictures but they are barely visible. I have reduced the price to $2,500 plus shipping in the continental US.

Judy Collins also has an Appollonio. I doubt there is any luthier, anywhere, who has made as many double-coursed instruments as Nik.

Man, this is my dream 12! Nick Apollonio does 12 strings, citterns, mandolins etc...better than about anybody. I had one of his guitar body cisterns that was lush and full...I'm sure this one is fantastic! GLWS
