Default NGD--Rickenbacker--Waiting for Shipment

After dreaming of one of these for decades, I ordered it from Dave's. They'll probably ship it by ground tomorrow. Very stoked.

That is lovely. I had a Mapleglo 330/12 for a while, and eventually moved it on to make way for my first Emerald.

Rickenbacker's recent Fireglos (Fireglo = Burst, for those unfamiliar with the naming conventions) are just delicious.

I really dig these guitars. Just stunning. Best of luck to you.

But I am going to address the
Elephant in the room.

This very expensive “southpaw” guitar deserves a correct tailpiece. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a left-handed R tailpiece - although I'm open to being corrected with photographic evidence

I said “a correct tailpiece”. Not “the correct tailpiece”. I doubt very much there is one. That was my point.

Then I’m missing it. Apologies for being a bit dim.

Very cool! Looks terrific! I hope you love it once you get a chance to know the guitar!

I have a Rickenbacker 360-12 in that fireglo finish. I don't get to play it a lot, but I sure love it when I can play it!

I agree. A lefty with an upside down 'R'. Really.??

Enjoy it willie. It's still gorgeous. And it's your prize and joy.

TMK the old-style tailpiece used on the 360/12C63 is still available factory-direct as an aftermarket replacement, as is the Ac'cent vibrato - either one would be appropriate...

Thanks for the comments and compliments.

I'm not so put out by the tailpiece; I actually like it. Maybe one day I'll change my mind.

And yeah, that fretboard is beautiful. If it looks half as good in person...

I've seen various sources for Ricky tailpieces...this one ships from Argentina...https://reverb.com/item/29245503-ric...lpiece-bracket

This is one I ordered for my Rick 660-12, but they might have some leftys as well...check out their store on Reverb.

This is a general search for "rickenbacker tailpieces" on reverb...all different kinds of stuff here, but if you don't find exactly what you need, you can at least contact these retail sellers to see what all they have available.

Thanks for the links and information. Really guys, the upside down R doesn't bother me. I like idiosyncratic things like that.

I figure my next Ric will be one of the vintage reissues. I especially want a 330/12. Haha. It'll have a period correct tailpiece.

For some models, the wait time can be long, but Rickenbacker is really great about making lefties. That's hard to find.
