If I need a kayak to get to the campfire, my Little Martin LXK2.

If the campfire is on a beach near where my sailboat is anchored, my Taylor BBT.

If the campfire is at a neighbor's house, the largest guitar I have handy. (My guitars get invited to a lot more campfires than I do.)

My Leach. It has a folding neck and can fit into a dry bag when canoeing. I don't take it often and am careful with it. And it's insured if there is a catastrophe.

I use my Alvarez parlor as my travel and camping guitar. (Living in Northern CA, I’ll refrain from mentioning campfires.)
Best,
Jayne

My campfire is right in my garden (don’t know if that is legal where I live so please don’t tell anyone!).
Since that is 15 steps away from my living room couch my campfire guitars are the ones listed in my signature.

I‘m not religious but I just sent you a few prayers.
All the best and I hope you get enough rain as soon as possible!

My wife and I consider staying in a two star hotel as roughing it so we don’t camp. That being said, we do have a $99 Home Depot fire pit on the patio and I play any of my guitars around it - provided I’m actually burning good wood that doesn’t smoke too badly!

Thanks, Peter! With the smoke being so bad, I haven’t been going out much so all of my guitars are getting played quite a bit. I’ll take that silver lining until the rain comes.
Best,
Jayne

I have a Yamaha F325 that has been everywhere. Had it since college and have taken it to many campfires. It probably isn't worth more than $50, but it serves its function.

My Washburn parlor. Sounds great, but was very inexpensive.

One of my carbon fiber guitars...Emerald X20 if a local get-together, CA Cargo if while in travel mode. Neither are beaters nor cheap, but they’re very tolerant of any outdoor environment, sound great and stay in tune no matter what.

Generally I agree with Keith. Also subscribe to the notion that we find a “player’s condition” guitar for the woods.
My version of the player’s camper is a Waterloo Jumbo King.

My Rainsong APLE at the lake, or Journey OF660 if I am traveling somewhere.

I'll take my new Emerald out at home, but seldom do fires at the house.

I tried an old Epiphone, but it didn't burn very good.

Indeed. When I'm 90 years old and having rocking chair memories, it will be more important to remember the music and places my guitars have played as opposed to the condition they are in.
