I wonder if they’ll do an Ed Sheeran model with a dragon incinerating Ed’s character.

For 31 grand, it better include a real dragon.

I have to admit, I am a sucker for bling on a guitar. My Blueridge is a good example. But this is over the top, way over! And at 31K is only likely to be bought by someone with more money than sense.

The art is amazing though. I can't imagine the man hours necessary to inlay that thing.

The guitar is stunning and the level of craftsmanship is incredible.

I don't appreciate Picasso's work personally but if I say it isn't art, not only am I wrong but I expose my limited ability to appreciate that artform.

That guitar may not be for you or me but that doesn't mean the person who buys it will have more money than sense. Quite the opposite, it will probably indicate he had enough intelligence to position himself where he can afford things others can't.

And I suspect that drives most of the disparagement of high end guitars.

I love GOT, but the thought of getting a GOT themed guitar is nuts and when I heard the price it is REALLY nuts.

It's really not my cup of tea, but the craftsmanship is incredible. Martin builds several really blingy, over the top, expensive, wackadoodle models out every year and they sell. They also become highly collectible too. So obviously Martin knows what they're doing with these things and the fact that I don't get it doesn't mean a thing.

I just don't get it. Who buys these things? It's not a Game of Thrones guitar by the way. Maybe if it was a one off but there are a bunch of them for sale and I think Martin is taking orders for more.

Except for the obvious association created by the name and art theme. Hard to believe they wouldn’t have been aware of that.

The same way my new band Nash, Young, Crosby & Stills has no association with CSNY.

Harv did the inlay. He is a forum member, so maybe he will poke his head in.

It's not a GOT inlay though. Merely a similarity in name.

George R.R. ...uh ... Martin’s Game of Thrones (aka Song of Ice and Fire), prominently featuring a dragon emerging from a frozen lake.

C.F. ... uh ... Martin’s Fire and Ice guitar, prominently featuring a dragon emerging from a frozen lake.

Any resemblance to characters, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
