I am making Fettuccine Alfredo (light) with prosciutto, spinach and chicken. My wife loves this ... but she hates to cook ... and I love to cook so it's all good.

Probably wing night. We recently got an electric fryer (awesome!), so we'll make up a few dozen wings: buffalo, garlic parm, BBQ, asian zing.

Kind of an ersatz shepherd pie. Seasoned ground beef, bag of mixed veggies, homemade mashed potatoes, and topped with cheese. Not fancy but it is great comfort food. I wish we had some ground lamb instead of hamburger but you work with whatcha got!

You like the electrical fryer? We have been looking at one. Takes us a while to decide lol

If you’re making it with beef, it’s a cottage pie. Nothing ersatz about that

Black bean and cauliflower tacos, with corn tortillas, tomatoes, black olives, red onion, and cilantro. Maybe some frijoles refritos on the side. And a generous portion of Humboldt Hot Sauce.

I think I'm going with chicken Cordon Bleu.

Hi, in the UK making the dish with lamb is shepherd's pie, but making the same thing with beef, is .... Cottage pie .... go figure!

Mostly, now we eat fish, because of my difficulty chewing, but it seems I can cope with slow cooked lamb shanks with home grown broccoli last night, and tonight we had "Ace" fish pie, smoked haddock and loads of root veggies with a mashed potato, swede and cheese topping "browned" in the oven. She does it so well and it is easy for me to eat.

We are eating less meat now as it is still quite difficult for me, but I can cook a lump of fillet steak occasionally with sauté root veggies and green beans.

You had me going with 'swede!' I looked it up on Google to see what you were talking about...rutabaga. That fish pie sounds tasty!

Not just in the UK. That distinction is made where I live as well. Either way, it is a satisfying offering.
