Maybe the skunk stripe is rosewood?

What were the original pickups, and what are the after market ones installed now?

Default pickups

All I know about the original is they are Fender Telecaster pickups for the 52 reissue. (If anyone else out there knows more about these, please feel free to chime in here.)

The upgrades are: Joe Barden Pickups (Barden) Danny Gatton T-Style Tele Pickup Set Black. They are a tremendous sound! The top is the twangy-iest Telecasteriest sound...and the bottom is just gorgeous.

When I did a search, the Gatton pickups seem to be going for $293 currently at Muscian's friend and Reverb. (Ebay has them at 439 for some reason.)

Hope this helps,
Meir

Not an AVRI, and not really a reissue, since there weren't any spruce topped chambered bodies in '52. A limited run "tribute", maybe.

Default guitar offering ended

Thanks Bobernet,

It seems that you know a lot more about Telecasters than I do. I am ending this listing for now so I can try to investigate more.

Sorry for any confusion folks, it certainly was not intentional.
