What are the early surprises?

Ohio State and Notre Dame having great seasons. And of course Alabama is just rolling over everyone.

Default How bout them ‘eers!

Loyal WV Mountaineer fan here and we’ve got a great Heismann candidate for a QB. He’ll never win though, that’s been one of the most ‘political’ sports awards ever and for a lot of years.

I too am a loyal WVU fan in football and basketball. I have been hoping great things would happen with this team and Grier, but I think they are going to run into trouble soon. Hopefully they will start firing on "all" cylinders as they move into the heart of their schedule. Win or lose, I am with them.

Alabama seems to be tough.

Don't worry about it. I'm a Buckeye fan and you have a great QB and a dang good team.
The Heisman Award....mehhhh who cares. Means zilch.

Notre Dame moved up to #5. That's one campus I'd like to visit one day, especially in the Fall.

Following Ohio Bobcats and the Buckeyes - I'm a homer. Used to travel back and forth between Columbus, OH and Chicago area. Always meant to side trip to see Notre Dame, but never made it (yet). I'd like to visit just one time for The Gipper.

I know you’re right, especially when you look at how poorly many of the past winners have done in the NFL. So I’m not a Buckeye fan but you all are always a powerhouse.

There were a few top 10 teams losing yesterday including #2 Georgia. Looking forward to hopefully see Ohio State and Notre Dame move up a spot.

PSU class of 1995. I’m disappointed that they couldn’t squeak out a win against the Trojans on Saturday.

The Iowa State Cyclones have pulled themselves up off the mat after many years of bottom feeding. Only a matter of time before Matt Campbell gets plucked by one of the semi pro college programs.

Who are they playing next week?

Ohio State #2 and Notre Dame #4. I'm a happy camper ... for now.

As much as I love my Buckeyes, unless they can find a defense I don't see how they can run the table the rest of the way.

The defense hasn't great athletes as usual, but no heart.
Michigan's "D" has heart. We're in trouble.
I just don't see it.
