Default Fraulini Nick Lucas copy

Todd Cambio of Fraulini Guitars was kind enough to build for me a guitar based on Nick Lucas's guitar that he had before the Gibson Nick Lucas model was made. It's a super guitar, ladder braced, maple back & sides, 26" scale, with cool inlays and really well executed. It sounds really great, plays perfectly, and looks cool to me. It's like what jazz guitars would have been if archtops didn't come along. Todd wrote a really nice blog post about it, available here: http://fraulini.com/2020/06/nick-lucas-galiano/

If you ever are looking for something in the old style outside of the Gibson/Martin styles, I cannot say enough nice things about Todd. He was super easy to work with and obviously loves what he does.

VERY VERY COOL!!!

Todd is a great luthier and incredible person as well. When I was super interested in Oscar Schmidt guitars, almost 20 years ago, we corresponded back and forth regarding 20's Schmidt guitars.
We also both knew and hung out with Marc Silber, which was pretty awesome.

Congrats and enjoy it in good health!

That is amazing. So whimsical in looks but tastefully done. The blog post is far out, too, crazy respect for this builder.

Beautiful! I saw Todd post this one online and was instantly enamored with it. His work is really superb, and he is always building such unique instruments. Not to mention his blog is fantastic and always goes in depth into his projects and passions.

Could you tell us a bit more about this one and how it sounds? Is it based on his Fenezia shape? Thanks so much for sharing, all the best with your new instrument!

Wow - just Wow! Congratulations! Everything I've seen from this builder looks like a work of art. I hope to play one someday. They rarely come up for sale though.
