Raptors beat out the Lakers last night. Thinking it'll be Toronto or Milwaukee coming out of the East ... probably Milwaukee.

MVP finalists: Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, James Harden. Guessing Giannis wins it again followed by James.

Your thoughts?

Wow - Phoenix went 8-0 in the bubble games and the didn't even make the cut for the playoffs! Makes you wonder why they were even invited to the play in.

It's a great sport and one that's less affected by the pandemic than larger team sports like baseball and football. I love watching basketball. Watching baseball under current conditions is a drag, but hoop is still hoop.

Why wouldn't I still watch basketball?

Happy Portland made it! Lillard won the bubble MVP award. I hope Portland beats the Lakers ... the team I'm rooting against the most.

Playoffs start tomorrow!

Celtics sweep ... Raptors looking to sweep tonight.

Anyone following any of the games? I don't have cable so I'm not watching any but I am scoreboard watching.

Been trying to follow, but what a show, doesn't look like there may be any playoffs soon. You Americans have one divided and unsettled country down there, hope things find resolve and solutions. As for the NBA, hard to even try and pay attention at this point.

Haven't followed the NBA or NHL since the early/mid-70's...
Stopped watching football around Super Bowl III...
Prefer minor-league baseball to the big-park/high-price MLB game...
Prefer grassroots motorsports for similar reasons, as well as some I won't discuss here...
Didn't lose much in the grand scheme - just waiting patiently for the grandstands to reopen...

Looking forward to Raptors/Celtics ... rooting for the Raptors. I hope Kyle Lowry is healthy (he has a sprained ankle) or there's no way the Raptors will make it out of the conference.

Also rooting against the Lakers.

LA Lakers vs Houston Rockets - Game 1 tonight! Hoping that James Harden outduels LeBron James.

Still rooting for the Raptors, down 2-1 to the Celtics.

I've lost interest. Houston was supposed to be tired, but ran the Lakers up and down the floor. LeBron was no where to be found in Q4. Stick a fork in me I'm done.

Over the past 3-4 years I've been slowly pulling away from sports in general, especially pro sports. I still watch the Buckeyes but not much else. The current situation has only served to remind me of how many other things I can do with my free time. Productive things at that.
