Default PSA - Emerald Summer Sale

Just got this from Emerald - 15% off a bunch of stock models until July 24th. Some very nice deals here, across the whole range.

I don’t see the green Kestrel or the black Amicus sticking around long at those prices. And the Synergy HG with super trebles would probably cost twice as much if it was (completely) made of wood.

Sorely tempted by the Amicus myself, but black would not be my first choice of colour...

Just checked, and darn, it's still there.

It's hard for me to believe but I looked at the available Emeralds earlier and nothing jumped out at me. I really think I spoiled myself with the X30 I received last month, and believe that any future Emerald I bought would also have to be a special order with a satin finish and no electronics - it just seems right...

The Baritone caught my eye, even though I'm not a huge fan of green.

Seems pricier than ordering one, so I'm unclear about how this constitutes a "sale"

An X20 Baritone would cost you $2600 with the standard specification.

The sale price of $2210 shows the 15% summer sale discount of $390.

Sure, you could order a new one with no pickup and just a gig bag, but that would still be $2275.

Seems like a deal to me - am I missing something?

I have been emailing back and forth with them about ordering a X20 Nylon version, but was wondering about body depth (and shape) and fanned frets. So, I wake up this morning to see that the X20-7's are on sale. I took what would've been my deposit on the Nylon version and sprung for it. I now will be able to (kind of) assess both the body shape and fan frets, and get to play with an extra string for fun. I know it isn't a nylon guitar, and will be quite different in that respect, but the general feel will be close, and I'll know what I like. It probably won't be a year before I can order the Nylon, but that will give me some time to figure out if I want to modify the body and if I go for fanned frets or not.

No, I'm missing that that price is burred under several layers of interaction since the front page says $2125. You are right, when I price one out it's $2600.

Yes, it’s helpful to know that the “from” price on the front page is the minimum you could pay - typically by specifying no pickup and opting for a gigbag instead of a hard case.

Plus picking up in person instead of shipping.

I ordered an X20 with Afzelia wood , but was torn between the quilted maple top model and the afzelia top. I think the quilted maple had more bling, but the longer I looked at them back and forth , I just thought this one was a little bit more to my liking. Anyway , they’ve acknowledged the order n might be a couple of weeks getting here, I’m guessing about that though.

Well ups just picked it up so it’s headed this way, fingers crossed that it gets here unscathed.

UPS shipping has seemed to work very well for shipping from Ireland to the US...
