2019 Kronbauer TDK Bear Claw Sitka/Black Limba **SOLD**
Well, I'm reluctantly putting this up for sale. Strictly financial reasons. This one is coming from my "keeper" collection. Perhaps some circumstances will change but for now, I gotta try and move it. So literally, this one is practically new. Completed this year by talented luthier Trevor Kronbauer.
So what exactly is Black Limba? Besides absolutely visually stunning, it produces a beautiful, warm rich tone, similar to mahogany, but with maybe just a touch more resonance. Black limba is about the same as mahogany in weight, hardness and texture. Well defined basses, clear trebles, a clear and defined yet balanced sound throughout the scale and a very lively sound. Top notch separation of voices. And I might mention a perfect layer of overtones. Condition is near mint. Just a small imperfection on the back binding photographed. Here are some particulars: 1-3/4" bone nut 2-1/4" bridge string spacing Standard scale 16" lower bout 4-3/8" depth at end pin Ebony bridge and fretboard Solid one-piece maple neck Rosewood binding Spalted maple headstock overlay Gotoh tuners with black ebony buttons Florentine cutaway Soundhole New tweed TKL style arch top hard case Truss rod tool included Price is $2,650 PayPal'd and shipped CONUS Would consider a 000 12 fret with generous cash. Trade value $2,750
