Howlin’ Wolf: Memphis Recordings, 1952
Rounder Records compilation, 1989

Before the Wolf moved to Chicago, he was a farmer and musician in Mississippi; these are some of his earliest recordings with back up band including overdriven electric guitar. These recordings were heard as singles in the UK and emulated by Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, but never released in North America until this compilation on LP.
