Default A new song (maybe I'm getting better at this)

I saw something on FaceBook a while back (a drawing of a deer on a sign with the words "Eat More Fast Food" on it) that gave me this idea. I wrote the chorus back before Thanksgiving. Finally came up with the opening line, and it just kinda spilled out from there.

My favorite line? Probably the last line of the second verse . . not sure where it came from, but it was definitely what was needed!

I don't have the intro or outro or solo section (between the last two verses) worked up yet, so it's a bit short at only 2 minutes long.

“Fast Food” (David Pennybaker)

That stuff’s gonna kill ya / That’s what the experts say
It’s my breakfast, lunch, or dinner / Most every day
I can’t understand / What they’re talkin’ about
They must be confused / It’s the healthiest thing around

I like fast food / Somethin’ wild and free
Take it with a bow / Or my .243
Lean red meat / Meant to be consumed
Ain’t nothin’ wrong / With fast food

Fry it up with eggs and onions / Start the day right
Put some in the smoker / Eat like a king tonight
When it ain’t huntin’ season / It’s time to fish
They’re a bit slower / But they’ll do in a pinch

I like fast food / Somethin’ wild and free
Take it with a bow / Or my .243
Lean red meat / Meant to be consumed
Ain’t nothin’ wrong / With fast food

Can’t trust them city doctors / Or the ones on TV
What the heck do they know / ‘Bout a country boy like me?

I like fast food / Somethin’ wild and free
Take it with a bow / Or my .243
Lean red meat / Meant to be consumed
Ain’t nothin’ wrong / With fast food

I like fast food / Somethin’ wild and free
Take it with a bow / Or my .243
Venison on the skillet / Smells like sweet perfume
Ain’t nothin’ wrong / With fast food

As I read your lyrics,
I felt my arteries hardening.

And no mention of the violence?
Although venison can be tasty……
