Default Three for the show

Hi folks! John Datlen here from Datlen Luthiery. I will be presenting my work at the upcoming LaConner Guitar Festival on the weekend of May 10th thru the 12th. I am really excited to be included in this years show. I look forward to meeting new people and checking out all the fabulous guitars that will be there. If you’ve been following along on the LaConner Facebook page, you know what I am talking about!

Here is the first of three I will be showing. It is a single 0, 12 fret model.

Engelmann Spruce top
Quartersawn cocobolo back and sides
Mahogany neck
East Indian rosewood binding
Curly maple purfling
Macassar ebony fretboard and bridge
25.4 scale length
1 3/4” nut width
2 1/4” string spacing
Gotoh 510 tuners

Looks great John. I've always like the sound of guitars, OM and smaller, built with that combination of tone woods. Hope you post yo he other guitars you are bringing to the show.

Thank you! This little guitar sounds really full and has a great richness to it. I will be posting the others shortly.

German Spruce top

“Tree” Mahogany back and sides

“Tree” purfling

25.4 scale length

1 3/4” nut width
