Default Josh House OM Short Scale

Up for your consideration is this incredible sounding example from Joshua House. Cedar top and African mahogany back and sides. Single piece mahogany neck. The cedar top has some impressions and pick scratches. Also a few lacquer cracks - nothing penetrating the wood. There is a pictured area on the upper bout of lacquer hazing. Pictures is also a small chip near the 6th string peg hole on the bridge, does not affect function. Today this build would be 3 thousand 8 hundred dollars. It had a setup and fret level done by LRC guitars in Orlando on 6/22/19 and the action is dead on, very low, zero buzz, so easy to play.

1350 shipped firm

1-3/4” nut
2-1/4” bridge string spacing
24.9” scale
14 frets to the body
Hide Glue Construction
Dovetail Neck Joint
Gotoh open tuners
Ziricote fretboard, bridge and headstock
Original arch top hard shell case included

"House guitars are unquestionably one of the best deals in the handmade guitar marketplace today, The quality of woods, advanced design, and incredible attention to detail are usually not found anywhere near this price." Paramount Guitars

I have had the pleasure of owning this guitar for some time. Don’t let the cedar top fool you. There is plenty of volume in this guitar. It really is a do all instrument. Fingerstyle, strum and flat pick. Not to mention some sweet overtones. It reminds me of a S size Lowden. Jonas is a great guy to deal with. Buy with confidence

How does the House cedar compare to your Halcyon guitar?

I owned a similar halcyon with a Adirondack top. I would say the House is a bit brighter and definitely louder. The build quality is top notch, a bit more ornamental than a Halcyon.

Thanks!
