If you like playing the Fender Gemini perhaps get someone to fit a pickup to that instrument.

That said Taylor’s ES2 system is pretty good as pickup/preamps go - one of the best factory fitted systems - so if you’ve finally got a setup you’re happy with...
I have not played the Fender Gemini since buying the Taylor. I tried it last night and it has extra light strings (0.10). I tried different strings on the Taylor and now prefer light (0.12). I will stick to the Taylor because it is just a better guitar than the Gemini. Like I mentioned, I bought the Taylor 214ce without knowing anything about acoustic guitars, i.e. the tone woods, pickups, models (dreadnought vs grand auditorium), and so on. I have learned a bit more since then but still have a lot more to learn about acoustic guitars.

I used the 214ce at a jam session last week. When playing a Bm chord it was hard to press. I decided to switch to 11s (Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Phosphor). I love the sound of these strings but now the guitar needs to have the truss rod adjusted. Luckily, I have the right tool which I got from Taylor.
