For all I know, he may be an Auburn fan. He came from a farm not far from the loveliest village on the plain.

Smartest breed around. My golden retriever is smart but not like border collies!

Our first Border Collie came when we lived in Va. She had the perfect Border Collie life. Most days, she went to work with Yvonne on a huge ranch outside Charlottesville. But she also went with me to James Madison, where my students tossed frisbees for her all day on the quad.

Gabe and I have some good parks to walk in in Georgia and in NC.

Great looking pup, congratulations!

One thing- these herding dogs have to be worked every day or they'll drive you crazy and get into mischief. We have an Aussie, the first cousin to your BC, and we take him for a hike every day. It might be a short one if the weather is bad, but they gotta get out and run.

Yes, Ken. I’m lucky in that when I’m in Georgia, my house is blocks away from a great walking park. Herders have to be exercised, rain or shine. In NC, she’s got room to run.

Ha, I bet Gabe is an Auburn fan indeed. And who knows? He really might be shouting, “Waaaar Eagle!” when he barks.

Gabe is a beautiful pup Jim! We're on our third Australian Shepherd that we adopted at 5 1/2. She's 9 1/2 now and hasn't slowed down much. Puppies are awesome...enjoy a great life with Gabe...he looks like a great dog!
