I reported playing a J-200 burst ($4,459) at the Algonquin IL GC late last week. I liked it but liked the Taylor V-class 314CE (about $2,200) I played better.

We'll be in the city tomorrow and I will go to CME and play this one and see how it feels.

I like small guitars and am jonesing for a cutie ever since playing a baby parlor Collings all-hog (about $5,500) in Denver at the Denver Folklore Center last month.

UPS dropped it by today. High expectations met!

Not the least boxy sounding in spite of its pretty small size.

In comparison, my recent LG2 AE and '56 LG3 are decidedly boxy, especially on the A string.

The ergonomics on this new guy are outstanding!

Fun evening at eljay's house!

That guitar is a timeless beauty. I've never played a Gibson parlor.

Is "parlor jumbo" an oxymoron?

Pretty much. It's a Parlor Jumbo that's not even a true parlor

This guy is appointed just like a big-dog J-200 and is exactly what I want. Pics added to a prior post.

How is the neck profile on this one? I see the specs call it "Round Profile" and I wonder how it compares to the Advanced Response neck.

I have some arthritis in my hands and the Advanced Response on my L-00 fits me perfectly.

I love the appearance and sound of the guitar, I'm just a little wary of ordering one without any information on the neck.

Thanks for any info.

CoryB,

I'm not familiar with the Advanced Response neck . . . I'd say the Round Profile description is spot on.

I think the best testament, for me anyway, is that I've not given the neck any thought until just now--after playing the guitar for 2-3 hours.

As Wade likes to say, I hope this helps!

Not a problem. I’m glad it works for you and I’ll take your recommendation.

I’ll find out on Wednesday for myself. I just ordered one this afternoon.
