The throbby thing is a Tremolo turned up really high to give that pulse.
He also has a high amount of compression, to get that squashed almost brass/sax lead sound. And then some reverb, and maybe some chorus as well. |

No worries. Thanks for posting it.
It's really cool. During the jam he syncs his tempo up with the throb of the tremolo so that every quarter note coincides with the dip and rise and volume. It makes it sound like every note fading in, or has the attack cut off, like he was riding a volume pedal. Talented man. |
