I don't think they EVER had very good tech support/repair.

I have an AG100D that has been bulletproof, and an R1000 Bass rig that has also been very dependable.

However, I have a friend / partner in the biz who has had a LOT of problems with his Carvin gear to the point where he'll NEVER even entertain dealing with them again. From tube amps (2) to entire p.a. systems, all of his Carvin gear is pretty much idle.

And it has almost zero street value if you need to unload it.

So, while I wish them the best and do enjoy my Carvin gear, I'd be beyond leary to purchase anything of much expense from them again.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course. I never had any problems with Carvin supoprt, from getting parts for a used Carvin electric guitar I bought to support for an entire P.A. I spec'd for my church. YMMV.
