Ive never had a nutted guitar that was done right. I could name names of people here in Southern Ca but I wont. The only guitar Ive had that didnt have nut problems was the one with a zero fret. Sure opened my eyes.

You repeated it, so I'll repeat it. You, unfortunately, have not had anyone build you a nut properly.

If traditional guitar nuts were truly so problematic, they would not be nearly ubiquitous, and the zero fret would be nearly ubiquitous.

Simple as that!!

I have no problem with people preferring zero frets. That is fine. But I really don't know what your eyes were opened to... Perhaps, that you have bad luck with guitar repairmen?? ;-)

Good repairmen are hard to find. Once you do, you'll understand what a good setup feels like, and that will include a proper nut. Your guitar playing life will never be the same.

Well said, Todd!! Just like home reno contractors!! I've had an 85% batting average for getting shoddy contractors. And that is enough said, because I can feel my blood boil just remembering all the crappy issues they left me with!!

That is because it is the earliest of the zero glide "frut" threads. ;-)

Bump. Stewmac has these for 25% off. Curious if anyone else has done this in the past few years.
