Default My first Youtube uploads.....

Well....here's my ten minutes of fame.....lol.....My friend talked me into using his recording stuff to lay down a couple of songs. The first one is "Steamroller blues", a single take, using his John How ladder braced guitar which seemed perfect for the blues. The second one is "When did you leave Heaven" Written by Richard A Whiting and Walter Bullock in the 20's. I played it on a 1950 Kay archtop to try to get that "oldtimey" sound....enjoy!!

Not "lame" at all. You're a natural. Great voice!

Blue, Don't look now but I'm right outside your house in the bushes waiting for you to come oiut. I've got my camera and autograph book ready.

Awesome stuff! The How sounds way cool and the Kay is really in it's element. Nice voice - cool stuff!

Uh oh, gotta go, the paparazi just showed up.

John How is from Cool, California....that was my friend's guitar he bought at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival.....John makes some "better than Stella" replicas with his own twist.....just a great, unique sound.....

I enjoyed both, thanks for posting. I especially liked the "When did you leave heaven" song with the Kay archtop gtr... your playing and that gtr nail the "old timey" sound.

MICHAEL, i see those KAY ARCHTOPS on Evilbay occassionally, but careful, they often need neck resets, but I LOVE THE SOUND of these guitars.....

Blue Wiley Fox,

Nice YouTubes...thanks for posting.

How about posting something with your Holst? I'm curious how to that guitar (being a Holst owner myself).
