Default 2015 Taylor Revoiced 614 (no E or C) SOLD

This is an amazing looking, playing and sounding guitar that will make you forget everything you thought you knew about guitars with maple back/sides. I'm only selling this incredible and recently purchased guitar because I've run amok lately, but my impulsive buying is someone's lucky break. This 614 is that rare bird that has neither factory electronics nor cutaway. I purchased it recently from another AGF member, and it was everything (and more) that the previous owner had said about it so I'm using his words and pictures from Reverb. The previous owner also installed these terrific GOTOH 510 tuners.

2015 Taylor 614 Grand Auditorium with Cosmo Black Gotoh 510 Tuner Upgrade! These are the coolest Gotoh's out there... could also describe them as "black chrome." Brown Sugar Maple with classic X-braced Torrefied Sitka top. This is a somewhat uncommon PURE ACOUSTIC Taylor. No C, No E! It's ready to accept whatever pickup system you choose to install or just enjoy it's acoustic lovliness! I'll call the guitar excellent+ condition. The only thing preventing it from being "mint" is an approximately 1/8" light ding to the binding on the back top edge (see last photo). With the shiny finish, you literally have to search for it. No other issues of any kind. No fretwear! This guitar has a beautiful, streak-free, dark black fretboard as well. It's a good one! No, it's a GREAT one!

From the Taylor website:

Our maple/spruce Grand Auditorium has always been a versatile performer, and this edition boasts an array of tone-enhancing refinements that transform maple’s tone profile into a richer, warmer and more complex voice. As a result, players can expect an even more dynamic and expressive musical tool. Design nuances include a maple-specific back bracing profile and a special seasoning process for the spruce top called torrefaction, a method of roasting the wood to produce an aged tonal character with greater acoustic resonance and responsiveness. Other touches include the use of protein glues to optimize the tonal transfer between key wood components and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to minimize dampening. A new, hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance without adding extra thickness to the finish. Featured appointments include ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with ivoroid purfling, an ebony/ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard. The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case.

But, of course, Andy Powers said it best...

Default A day late

RP, you must have snapped this guitar off the AGF almost immediately after it was listed. I was working up the nerve to make an offer and suddenly it was gone. My previous experiences with the 614ce model made a very positive impression on me. I've owned several and eventually regretted letting them go. I ended up buying a Builder's Edition of the 614ce so that takes me out of the market. Otherwise this would be on it's way to Blacksburg. Best wishes with your sale.

Yes, it was one of those impulse purchases of a model that I'd just previously played at the local Guitar Center. The addition of the GOTOH 510s and the price (compared to Guitar Center's) made it too good to pass up...

Why is this still here? If I had not moved to smaller body guitars, I would be all over this. These revoiced 614's have considerably more bass than previously. With the Gotoh's, it is exceptional. Good luck with your sale. No affiliation with seller.
