They list for ALMOST as much as a (lightly used) GS Mini
It's almost as big as a mini too - too bulky for me.

The real question is "How do they sound?" (Obligatory inserted here.)

Maybe I can get a free one at the next Road Show!

Oh no! now we will end up adding "NWD" to our guitar-nerd lexicon!

Same $30 movement in stainless steel Gucci watches and many other brand name watches charging double the Taylor watch, with a lot less appointments. This is nothing new. Having said that, I don’t and won’t buy those watches either.

I should have known better. After I hit the link, my face book feed became inundated with watch adverts.

In my opinion...it looks cheap for that price point, especially. And, I’ve never thought wood on a watch looked anything but “out of place”. Still they’ll sell to the same people who buy Taylor coffee mugs, wall banners & belt buckles.

Another example of the Taylor marketing juggernaut.

I have owned my Taylor 20 years. Will they send me a watch with my next wood and steel?

Yeah. Taylor computer geeks are working on that app download right now. I hear it will be $495. You know Apple stuff is a little pricey. [emoji848]

i paid less for a used Tag Heuer Kirium about ten years ago. Had the battery and the gaskets replaced at the factory a few years later, then the rebuilt the second-hand movement under the same warranty that covered the battery replacement because it had an issue inside that 90 days.

I kinda dig it, BUT my arms are pipe cleaners. Case diameters bigger than 40mm are a no go for me.

That stainless steel/ebony combination sure catches my eye, but $549? Wowza. You're definitely paying for the novelty and not the technicalities.
