One of the surprising statistics to me is that 1 in 19 have at least 30 guitars. I'm going to print that out and stick it on my refrigerator.

I currently have four guitars.
My lead guitars are a Martin OM-18e that I use for everything and a wonderful Redwood and Koa Mcilroy A48 that I use for open, DADGAD-like tunings. I also have a replica of the Martin 00-28vs but made of mahogany, built by the luthier R. Lleonart. I take it everywhere, because despite its size it has an incredible volume. And I also have a Framus Parlor Sport that I use when I want to play some blues or slide. With these four guitars I have all my needs covered.

Maybe it's because I'm not retired, but I cannot imagine owning 30 guitars. Well I can, but I can't imagine playing most of them more than once a year.
I have a main acoustic, a travel acoustic, and an electric (which I'm considering selling as I don't play it)

2 Electrics, 3 acoustics...each has a purpose and I play all of the acoustics regularly and the electrics biweekly. The Larrivee for fingerstyle, Ovation for flatpicking, classical for classical position fingerstyle, Strat for blues/rock, Epi for jazz/rock. With this collection, I play all of my guitars regularly and have everything covered. But....there is always room for one more...hehehe...it would be redundant though.

I have slipped since this was started, slipped upwards. Now, it's 10 with one being made. But I have three I am hoping to sell and there are 2 more I could be persuaded to let go. Even if ALL of them went, it would still feel like a lot to me.

I've sold 3 and added 1 since this thread started.
These 3 have gone but you can see the great shots taken by the store that sold them on consignment for me.

Thanks for all your guitars updates and votes!
I'm still waiting for the numbers of 1 guitar owners to exceed the number of 30 or more guitar owners. Currently the results are 36 vs 39. I'm guessing that 1 guitar owners are kind of shy to vote whereas the latter is not shy to vote!

Inventory
Just did an inventory and found number 27 that I didn’t remember being there and created a spread sheet so it doesn’ happen again.

Just took a break from practicing for today’s lesson and found I have never replied to this thread. Have 8 guitars including a little Martin on pretty much permanent loan and a little Recording King I took in a trade and has proven to be fun to play out in the yard. The little ones don’t get played much, and the Eastman jazzbox gets a little less attention than the acoustics, but each of the acoustics gets played most every day. Have 3 out that I have been playing all morning. Been a couple of years since I acquired a guitar, but have missed on a couple and been unsuccessful in a couple of trade efforts during the pandemic. Those efforts were all about finding something a little different to spice things up while in ISO.

Although I’ve been dumping funds into my Mopars, this year has been good as far as controlling GAS habit. This is probably the longest in 8 years that I’ve gone without buying a guitar.
...fortunately the year’s not over yet

Current count is 3. The wife and I are moving soon so I’m trying to thin the herd a little.

Currently 14, including bass guitars, 12 if I don't. 8 Acoustic, 4 electric.
Shipped one out yesterday. Plus one currently under construction in my basement. And a custom on order.
