The 000-30 A 1919 is the new handsome, handmade recreation of a specific and very special 000 (Auditorium) size guitar, built in a version of Style 30 for the Authentic Series of exacting reproductions of singular vintage Martins, the original having been built in 1919. This is the earliest Martin recreated for the Authentic Series thus far, and among the rarest ever built. Not only is Style 30 one of the coolest of the retired Martin guitar styles, Mike Longworth’s venerable history of the Martin Guitar Company said there was only one such guitar ever made.
The Martin production tables in the current version of Longworth’s tome don’t list the model at all. But recent scholarship discovered that they may have made a second 000-30, also in 1919, just before Style 30 was to disappear after six decades of popularity. Fortunately, one of the 000s has survived very much intact, and has now been replicated. This is the second 12-fret 000 model made for the Authentic Series, but it is the first to have a spruce top, as well as rosewood back and sides, which has been hoped for by many people since the current Authentics Series got underway in 2013. And Martin selected one honey of a rosewood 000 to resurrect. Hide glue construction,

Just FYI the 000-30 Authentic 1919 is not a “custom shop” guitar unless you put through some sort of special order that deviates from the basic specs. I understand Authentics are built in a separate shop at Martin that houses both the Authentic and Custom Shop teams, but Authentics (unless otherwise specified) are open production guitars whereas custom shops are one-offs. I just bought one of these myself and confirmed this understanding over at the UMGF.

This “CS” designation could lead to confusion amongst your potential buyers.

Default Martin 000-30 Authentic "1919"

Thank you Austin............my mistake. I knew that, but because I listed the CS 000-41-15 at same time, just inadvertently threw in CS.

Thanks again for pointing out my mistake!

Good luck with your sale! These are just spectacular guitars. I have a few really nice Martins but the 000-30 Authentic is hands down the best in terms of tone, playability, and Martin mojo...

The last time Bruce came to visit me he brought this specific guitar, among many others, with him. I got to play it for quite a while and A-B'd it against some very high end stuff. Even in the resulting guitar orgy which inevitably ensues, this guitar was one of my favorites.

It's light and resonant. Beautiful to look at and play and the nut size is quite comfortable. It was priced tens of thousands under some of the other guitars, but sounded as good as any of them IMHO.

Bruce only has really nice guitars and knows what they should sound and look like. Deal in complete confidence with the man!

I am a former owner of this guitar

It is everything said above and more.

Super light and resonant. It has a rich pleasing tone unlike any modern Martin I have played.

Killer guitar well worth the price.

These guitars are truly incredible. Rich bass, crystal clear trebles, vintage tone... very comfortable and playable for a wide neck. In fact, it feels narrower than my 0-28VS and plays more like a 1 3/4" nut. I've had mine for a couple of months and I can't put it down.

The 000-30 is a sweet guitar.
I had the opportunity to play with one.

Nice tone wood combination.

This is a truly amazing guitar.

When I owned it I enjoyed watching the face of anyone that I let play it.

Tone unlike any other.

I only sold it because I cannot stop buying guitars and needed to sacrifice it for another obsession.

Highly recommended Guitar and seller. Cannot go wrong here.
