FS/FT: 2023 Collings D1 Traditional Satin (SOLD)
Up for sale is a 2023 Collings D1 Traditional Satin in excellent condition. This guitar is probably the best D-18-style instrument that I've played. The premium sitka top paired with the traditional build and satin finish really make this guitar excel at any playing style you can throw at it. Beautifully warm, articulate, and touch sensitive, Collings has really made something special in these traditional builds while retaining the signature Collings clarity. The neck is perfect and is extremely comfortable up the neck. Has had a strap button and a K&K pure mini pickup professionally installed. The only notable ding is on the treble side of the headstock, where I accidentally hit it on the PA at its very first gig. Other than that, it is next to new. Currently setup with medium gauge D'addario PB strings. Comes in the original Collings/TKL hard case. And for those who will ask, as much as I try, I'm just not a dreadnought guy and have come to terms that I prefer smaller-bodied guitars.
