Default Serendipity?

Recently I have posted here about purchasing an inexpensive (but playable) nylon string classical guitar to
  1. Let me continue practicing while my fingers heal.
  2. Can ease me from steel string "energetic" playing to something softer.
Today Musician's Friend's Stupid Deal of the Day (SDOD) is this:
Lucero LFB250Sce Spruce/Cypress Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar Natural
The Flamenco Series from Lucero is designed with the modern player in mind. A slimmer profile neck than most nylon-string guitars, combined with a cutaway for upper-fret access and premium Fishman electronics will feel instantly comfortable for any steel-string or electric player looking to add the roundness of nylon-string sound to their arsenal. The LFB250SCE combines cypress back and sides with a solid spruce top for added top-end snap and brilliance.

A gig bag is sold separately.

]Lucero Classical and Flamenco Guitars
With exceptional value and built to last, Lucero instruments are carefully crafted to provide years of rich, toneful sound at an attractive price.

Lucero creates beautiful classical guitars for every type of player, from beginners embarking on their musical journey to steel-string players looking to expand their skills (and their tool box) with the authentic sounds of a nylon-string guitar. Using superior tonewoods (like spruce, cedar and mahogany) as well as manufacturing techniques seen in instruments costing much more, Lucero is priced for budget-conscious players who still demand a great-looking, highly playable classical guitar. Students especially will appreciate the low action that makes for better overall playability.

Acoustic-electric models include Fishman pickups with EQ control that is perfect for performance environments. Acoustic-electric models also have built-in chromatic tuners to keep you sounding your best. Lucero makes beautiful classical guitars amazingly affordable.

Was: Regular Price $429.99 Savings: Your Savings $200.00 Your Price $229.99

I am not familiar with the Lucero brand. Is this an in-house label for MF? And since Guitar Center and Musician's Friend are the same company, should I look into using my gift cards on it?

It was definitely a GC "house brand" back in the day, my first classical was a Lucero. Really wasn't a bad guitar at all. I passed it on to a student years ago, I'm hoping he still has it or passed it on to someone else.

Be careful, nylon strings are a slippery slope...you might find this guitar you bought to play while your fingers heal quickly becomes a favorite.
