Schatten Dualie Outsider on nylon stringer?
Hi,
I happened upon this video: which sounds really natural for a recording of an amplified instrument. The description does say that the amp is at a very low level, but it did get me curious about the Dualie pickup which I had never heard of. Surprisingly there are barely any YT recordings of it, or at least that can be identified as such. At the moment I don't even own an amp but it could still be useful to know more about this PU as I don't really like the ones that came with 2 of my guitars (Baggs UST in the Cabaret, a KA floater in the archtop). - How easily can one recognise the piezo sound in the output from this PU, esp. when used with a nylon-stringer? (I'm allergic to the electric Chet Atkins sound and can't stand any hint of it...) - Any recordings I could listen too that I didn't manage to find myself? - How suitable is the putty to put on the PU only when needed, without damaging the finish or getting a bad contact/adherence? Can it be ordered seperately if needed?
