Congrats +++.
I've often wondered what a 12-fretter would sound like from Ervin. In general, I'm a fan of the 12-fret sound and the cutaways that MDs usually come with mean that upper fret access is no big deal. I see it doesn't have a wedge - that is a BIG guitar. I often end up plying my MD (Kostal) on my left knee in the classical position to get around that. A Somogyi MD that I played at TAMCO years ago still haunts me to this day. Listening to your pieces betrays the fact that you spend too much time on the Dream Guitars website! Cheers, Steve |

I have an OO and an OM on order with Ervin, maybe I should change one to a Mod D.

My hotel room in Hollywood is already booked for mid-November... BTW I personally love the fact that you skipped the wedge. Classic specs all the way, you scored perfectly in my opinion. |

WOW! Congrats on the Somogyi and thanks for the review!
Earlier this year, I was thinking how could you possible part with the Tippin? Well, this partially explains it to me! Enjoy that guitar in good health! |

Well, I gotta say... A 12 fret MD sounds like a brilliant idea to me! Can't go wrong with a 14 fret either I'm sure... If I can turn back the hands of time, i'd stick with a 12 fret, that's a fact personally.... and nothing against a 00 or an OM of course

Howdy Folks, THANKS for all the positive words! Much appreciated....
As for a wedge, well, I'm 6'3 which helps... and I dont play standing up ever... Half the time I'm kinda propped up on my couch with my feet up and I don't really ever notice the difference from a comfort standpoint, OM, Dread, Small Jumbo etc.... And Yea Mau, I like the idea of keeping it classic as well... So see ya in November, Lets plan to meet up for sure! Yea, the headstock kinda looks like a Medieval torture device! A classy way to be taken out I must say.... LOL

I love Ervin's details to his guitar artwork and the sound perfection.
Aw, I can admit I love my buddy, Ervin.

As per usual, *I* wonder what the scale length is on this cool guitar.
I've never seen/heard of Ervin doing a 12-fretter, and so I wonder what he decided to do about bridge-placement (as varying from his usual), and the scale length, which might be altered to accommodate the some of the difference. Of course, perhaps Ervin just used his standard (for the Mod-D) 25.25" scale, and altered bridge-placement and bracing accordingly...
