Myka Blue Baritone
Well, I didn't go the traditional acoustic builder route most are used to on this site. Years ago I saw the Blue guitar collection Chinery commissioned at the Smithsonian and ever since I've wanted a blue guitar.
If an electric I would get a whale blue PRS, but I haven't had an electric since I traded my strat for a green jumbo guild over 20 years ago. http://www.mykaguitars.com/instrumen...45/default.htm

I see you're have some similar details to my Bamburg baritone... macassar ebony, the dog paw sound hole, and the dog inlay.

She a beauty Jim
Very nice Jim. Sounds great too. That's actually the first time I've seen the bevel for upper registry.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed the top will look as I hope. It will be different for sure with natural wood dog prints across a translucent blue top.

Thanks Todd.
That bevel was an idea that Jeff Bamburg had and wanted to try. I've not seen it on any other guitars and I'm not even sure he offers it as an option anymore. I like it though. It definitely makes playing up the neck more comfortable and it gives the guitar some symmetry. By that I mean it balances out the look of the arm bevel. I know the same thing could have been accomplished with a cutaway, but I like this more unique option. Best part, he didn't charge me anything for it. I'm looking forward to following your build. I took a look at the Myka website and they do some interesting and unique work. Is your guitar on the bench now or are you still waiting your turn?

It's on the bench I think and hopefully done in a month or less. I love my jumbo Guild which has a 17" bout. I wanted that on this one which he would have done but I figured since his price came down a grand from what it used to be when I first deposited and the fact he had his standard 16" mold and was doing two other acoustics I'd make it easier on him.
