Default Sharleen Simmons build for TAMCO UK.

I am delighted to be representing Sharleen Simmons in the UK. I met Sharleen when she came with Gustav Fredell when he delivered a guitar. I was very impressed with the guitar she had with her for its beautiful lines and pure tone so placed an order for my first build. As many will know Gustav tragically left us recently. Sharleen will be finishing a few guitars in Sweden before returning to Newfoundland.

Here's the first few build shots, its in European spruce and African blackwood.

Very nice to see an original take on a rosette that's not obviously derivative from much of the stuff we see around here. Impressive.

Lovely pieces of spruce and blackwood also.

Cheers,
Steve

Given her pedigree, I'm confident that Sharleen's guitars are going to be very special - http://www.simmonscustomguitars.com/...eetthebuilder/

I am very happy that you have given her an outlet for her creativity and hard work. I wish only the best for her and what the future may bring to her. I will be pulling for her to be successful in however she may judge that success to be.

Default Lovely,

I just ran into Sharleen's Instagram account tonight and was floored. Her work looks absolutely beautiful, her rosettes are amazing, and they must sound great. Any chance of a soundclip?

From Sharleen,

I do a triple lamination, with the middle layer being cross grain- makes for a nice and sturdy rimset so the top and back can do the jobs they're meant to do! I plan to get her lined tomorrow. I'll take a few more photos when that's finished and as I get closer to closing up the box.
