I tune my guitars every time I pick them up, and also several times during a playing session. The guitar that never goes out of tune hasn’t been invented.

That is really something. I would expect it to need to be retuned by now.

i feel it may not be specific to wood/model/make or otherwise... just that individual guitar imo.. i only have 10 gits atm, sold one. but for some reason my low end Fender CD-60 spruce/hog will hold tuning for weeks literally, usually run martin retros or 2.0 long lifes on it (same as 3 other gits have on them) with all my other gits (12 string being the worst of course) and then nylon guitars next, followed by electrics and lastly the acoustics..but as i say, that old cheap fender cd-60 that ive had for years holds a tuning for a ridiculous amount of time, be it standard, c, d, etc dont matter.

I'll have to leave out a few guitars, including my all hog Guild and do a test. I wonder if I have to align the guitars with the axis of the moon or Jupiter.......

Just curious:

What is telling you it's in tune?

I have a new-ish guitar, remarkably stable in terms of tuning. I've wondered whether the neck/heel design - it uses some kind of embedded aluminium alloy rod/joint - might be contributing?
Last weekend the guitar travelled by train 200 miles with two wet cycle rides either side. It's come into a centrally-heated home and when I come to tune it.... no need🤯
