Belly Bulge on Eastman E10ss
Got one in and it sounds great. I noticed last night under different lighting that the reflections were all wonky near the corners under the bridge after... looking I realized it has some bulge to the center of the guitar. I have never noticed this before on my Yamaha as its almost straight.
I measured and its almost 1/4" on each side. If it wasn't for the reflections I wouldn't have noticed. I also see two tiny reflection marks in the centered on bottom of the guitar about 3 inches apart. It did just come from Missouri to SE Texas so maybe humidity is playing a role. I will let it sit out while I am out of town for a day and if its still bulging maybe ask a luthier's opinion. Thoughts? Last edited by Texmex03; 04-25-2018 at 07:17 AM. |

I think you are thinking correctly. Let's see it when the humidity comes down. Make sure your luthier checks for a possible loose brace too.

Baw3 here. glad you got your e10ss. I was looking at mine and I noticed the top is not perfectly flat. I think it is like the fellow before said. I don't think any acoustic tops are perfectly flat. But if it worries you I would take it to a luthier and see what he says. Keep us posted.
