Thanks for the compliment BlueBowman! I very much enjoy building guitars and I’m glad it shows.

Wow! Absolutely stunning. I look forward to hearing about how it sounds as 0 size guitars can be quite beautiful. That plum is really special.
Best,
Jayne

Thanks for commenting Jayne. I’m enjoying this build and early indicators are it will be a fine sounding instrument. The Plum wood has a very nice resonance and gets along very well with the old Sitka float wood top.

Thanks again
Mark

Default Neck is ON

I have the neck pretty much put together so we can see can get an idea how the guitar will look. This is dry unfinished wood without any Naptha etc (the Snakewood fretboard is buffed). The colors will really come to life and the figure on the top and neck will stand out a lot more with finish.

Thanks for following this build!

Oh wow !
I love the color palette - the fretboard is gorgeousss!
…is the headplate veneer a mirrored piece of plumwood or a one piece ?
Either way it looks so good…
The upper headstock shape nicely picks up the shape of the rhodochrosite inlay pieces, as does the pointed lower end of the fretboard….
And then there is the (new ? - at least to me) truss rod cover …
The bright maple neck to me makes it all look so ‘light’ and ‘airy’ (for lack of better vocabulary)… a fresh and fruity summer breeze ! What a composition !

Thanks Lonzo. That is a mirrored piece of Plum wood on the headstock. I felt a symmetric overlay was better with the the headstock shape and inlays.
The truss rod cover is new. I'm not sure about the shape yet, I think it could use a little slimming.
I really like the bone tuner buttons and how they go with the neck. The tuner plate is very white and I thought it would go with the Maple neck too however, the neck will yellow a bit under finish which will go well with the top but I'm thinking not so much with the white tuner plates.

Thanks for commenting!

Thanks Lonzo. Looks like we have 2-3 weeks until the finish is done and I can move on.

Thanks for commenting Treenewt. The colors actually show better than the pictures show but, I'll have time to catch all of that.
