Default An Amazing Guitarist

I had a musical experience of a lifetime last evening at my first Tommy Emmanuel concert --- all I can say is WOW !!! What a gifted guitar player and overall performer! FUN, INVIGORATING, and many times having me in awe of his guitar playing!! Bought the tickets in 2020 but that performance was cancelled due to COVID. 2021 reschedule was also postponed. The 2-year wait was well worth it !!

Cheers!

I'm glad you got to see Tommy perform live. I have seen him, I think, 6 times, and each time was quite an experience. I have also been to two different TE workshops, which are also an experience.

He has a lot of performance videos out. They are worth purchasing if you enjoy watching him again and again, as I do.

Tommy Emmanuel is the king of the hill of today’s guitar players. The first time I saw/heard him, it changed my whole perspective on guitar playing and how to play my guitar.

tommy is not just the greatest "guitar player" , for me he is the greatest musician/artist of all time , and a wonderful -almost magical- human being......just talk to him for a few minutes and you'll get it: )

I think you’ll find your thoughts shared by many here. Ive met him and his brother mulling around the crowd before the show, twice. Just because they enjoy meeting and talking with fans.

I think he's the best guitarist though many would have their own choices for no.1. However I think one would really struggle to name a guitarist who is more inspiring where it pertains to the joy of playing guitar and the joy of performing.

I can't think of anyone I've watched that gets it done like Tommy E.

He's coming to the area a few times this year, (Massachusetts)
I'd love to go see the guy live.
