Default #2 Show Spec is back

I just got the second of my show spec series back from the finisher. Here are a couple pictures. This is Western Red Cedar on Brazilian Rosewood. It is trimmed in Black Ebony and I am incorporating Woolly Mammoth tusk bark into the design;

The headstock overlay is live edged Oak burl (courtesy of my firewood pile);

The tuners are Schertler with gold buttons. This will be the first metal tuner buttoned guitar I've offered for sale. It just had to be gold.
You can also see that this Greta model has a satin finish rosewood neck;

Sorry no pictures of the front of the guitar yet. There is no finish on it. My intention with this guitar is to make it produce, what I feel is, the best sound I can do. As such, it has to have a French polish top which I will be applying over the next 21 days.

It's easy to fall for BRW. There is such depth to its looks and sound.
It is easy to understand why it is the standard to which all other tonewoods are compared.

Thanks!
Mark

Wow!! What a gorgeous instrument! Congratulations Chris- this is stunning to look at. And then Mark says he is creating the "best sound" he can with it. It's such an amazing guitar. Maybe we can all tell Mark "you know, if the check bounces...."
