Default Thought I'd share the newest creation...

This is #7 off the bench. Really fun to take design in a new direction from my previous builds. Guitar is based off of a J-185, with a 12 fret break and very, very lightly braced. Florentine cutaway with a small armrest bevel on lower bout. All around a fun build.

Hondouran Mahogany back and sides,
Lutz Spruce top,
Ziricote fret board, bridge, end graph, and headstock,
Flame maple binding

Thanks for looking.

Interesting bridge and headstock -- very pleasant aesthetics overall.

Although I'm relatively conservative when it comes to rosettes, the double ring is actually a good fit with the guitar.

Well done!

I really like that! Your bridge is fabulous! I am really taken by the assymetrical rosette too.

Thanks for posting.

Is it asymmetrical? Could be the picture but it looks symmetric to me...

Beautiful guitar, JP! I especially like the arm rest bevel...seems to blend in with the binding and the overall guitar more nicely than some. Very nice.

WOW...just gorgeous! I love the double ring rosette...seems especially fitting with the florentine cutaway. Really like the headplate art/inlay too. If it were mine, I'd have only changed the bridge to solid dark Ziricote because I would have liked the light/dark contrast on the top. But hey, it ain't mine! Beautiful work, you should be proud!

Probably the most awesome looking guitar I've ever seen...Of course knowing an individual actually designed and built it may have swayed my attention a bit...beautiful... the last pic of the Nut looks a little high-off-fret...but, what the fret does this nut know? Anyway, man...that's absolutely beautiful... awesome...can't wait 4 # 8...

Very very nice work there. All the little details in this really make it. My favorite part has to be the alternating light/dark purfling around the soundboard. Very nice touch and very nice all around.
