Great song, fun to play, usually part of my set list. I need to work on the guitar interlude part.
I'll save the video for later when I can turn it up and not wake anybody up. Looks interesting, thanks for posting.

Yup - super cool they put it up free to watch. I loved it. Watched it right when it went up yesterday. TP is my favorite artist of all time and this was such a great, insightful, beautiful film about that amazing album and period of time in his life. Wonderful watch. Even if you don't like him or don't know him, you might really enjoy watching the process and seeing the genius and creativity flow out of that man.

Just watched this. God, I miss this guy. I think of all of my favorite musicians over the years, he’s they guy I most wish I’d had a chance to know and hang out with. Just seems like he was a great guy, fantastic sense of humor. And while he may not be the greatest songwriter ever, he’s surely one of them, and his songs were/are more relatable to me than most of them. I love Bruce and Dylan and Joni and Lennon/McCartney and Jagger/Richards, but none of them were singing about my life, not by a long shot. Petty, in a lot of cases, could have been. I feel like if I could write songs (I’ve tried, never even came close), I’d have written songs a lot like he wrote. Also, I've never been accused of being a singer, but I feel more comfortable TRYING to sing some of his stuff than much else. I came of age to his first 3-4 albums, first saw him on the **** The Torpedos tour. Saw him 4-5 times over the years. I don’t know if he kept getting better, but he stayed great. Glad I got to ride around on the same planet with him at the same time.

Ray, so very well said. I miss him all the time. Sometimes I'm bitter about how he went, but I agree he's one of the most prolific songwriters of our generation. Your planet reference was perfect.
